Way back in 1997 I was a young girl in the 7th grade and my parents gave me my very first camera.  Thats where my Love for photography began!  I fell in love with being able to freeze time and memories into one single image and how that single photograph could tell so much.  In 2002 I graduated from Caledonia High School and started pursuing my career with photography.  In 2003 I married my High School sweetheart, Erik Ruffin.  For the next 3 years we were busy taking many many many weddings almost every weekend.  In 2006 we had our firstborn, Emma Kate and thats where our love for photographing children started.  In 2009 we decided to take the big JUMP into having our very own Studio and this would be the start to Erik and I working full time together.  Shortly after moving into our new studio we had our second child, Maddox.  Fast forward a few years and we decided it was time to focus all our attention where our heart really was and that was with Children and Families.  We were so nervous about giving up such a large part of our income from weddings but we worked hard and made it work!!  We get asked all the time "How do you guys work together"?  And we always answer with "We just do" ha!  Call us weird or "Corny" but we truly do love our job and we love working with kids!  Starting from newborns where they are so Tiny, Soft, and you can just hold them in the palm of your hand; to where they are Running, Laughing, Giggling, Making Silly Faces, Playing Peek-A-Boos....it just melts our hearts!  I'm always joking with Erik saying all the kids love coming here just so they can play games with you ha!  So I would say the past 19 years of being a Photographer has been such a blessing to us and our family.  We truly love each customer that comes to us.  From the moment they walk through the door till they leave we are giving them 110% of us and our quality.  Being parents too we know how important it is to have memories to cherish a lifetime!
